03 Expect It – UFC 193
On November 15, 2015, defending UFC champion Ronda Rousey was scheduled to fight a relatively unknown opponent. Holly Holm had only won a couple fights in her professional career and many had given her no chance to defeat the undefeated Rousey. Over 56,000 people packed into Etihad Stadium in Melbourne Australia. Almost all of them expected Rousey to not only win, but dominate.
However, just 59 seconds into the second round, Holm knocked out Rousey with a vicious kick to the side of the head. Many called this the biggest upset in UFC history, but not Holm. She visualized victory and expected it because of her hard work and preparation. She had already won the fight many times in her head.
