  • Definition:Is to improve something through self-discipline and hard work

BELIEVE STATEMENTS:  

  1. As iron sharpens iron… so one athlete sharpens another
  2. Step up, come out and be separate from the rest
  3. Flawless fundamentals

TRAINING - TEACH POSITIVE SELF-TALK:
Practice the following GO TO STATEMENT with your team. 

  • COACH Initiates: “TESTED .... NOW WHAT?”
  • TEAM Responds: “Courage toRaise the Standard!

WORKOUT - PRACTICE POSITIVE SELF-TALK:
Athletes practice GO TO STATEMENT one-on-one (Three (3) times during practice.)

  • Athlete No.1 Initiates: “TESTED .... NOW WHAT?”
  • Athlete No.2 Responds: “Courage toRaise the Standard!
